Chest Infection In 11 Month Old

Group 5: Descriptive report on "Water" (2009 )

The members of Group 5 , made a description of the resources, procedures and points of focus from which everyone worked their part in the work WATER (2009) .

newly listed the composers that make up Group 5;
Otto Castro (Costa Rica ), Marvin Coto (Costa Rica ), Rosa Nolly (Argentina ), Adina Izarra (Venezuela ), Carlos Lopez Charles ( Mexico), Ana Romano ( Colombia) and Julio Zúñiga (Costa Rica )

composed the piece below:

"Water" (2009)

general guideline:
" each received a minute earlier and expanded it by quoting a section of it, remaking the rest of the original material . "

And then each participant described their mode of participation: Otto Castro

: On a tour of the San Carlos (city located in northern Costa Rica), I recorded the sound event which served as material for all compoundeth this work. In my part I tried to highlight the small changes the sound of water crashing against the rocks. I made the electronic processing SoundHack, Csound and Spear. Marvin Coto

: In section I found a development of the ideas expressed in the above, mainly those representing passages of calm, as a transition that contains recognizable elements and allow the next songwriter to raise the dynamics and suggest new developments and perceptions of the strongest gestures presented above. Adina Izarra

: The treatment I did on the materials I received, both the original and was developed and focused highlight the strong attacks with the intention of surprising rhythms and spasms. Granulators were used Supercollider designed and Protools Mixing plugins.

Carlos López Charles : In the section of the book I wrote I looked to paraphrase some of the materials that had been submitted earlier, looking round some of the ideas and at the same time, provide an opportunity to the next composer either create contrast or to present different materials. Nolly Rosa

: Fittingly, my turn, I saw a development of ideas and exploitation of materials that led me to propose a transformation levels of material and pattern. For this filter and detachment elements that would become independent, becoming harmonicity camps and statism, suggesting a dramatic turning point. I snorted that this was perceived by the following composers, and contribute to the challenge of collective composition.

Ana Maria Romano : In my column I tried to address microscopic structural aspects considered along the gestures made previously. The realization I posed the challenge of balancing between respect for the received-both pre-built sections as the base material chosen, and the contributions they could make from my own voice.

July Zúñiga : The last minute of the book presents a much lower average amplitude than the other eight minutes. No new material, but that is reused after a transformation that allows an end in which the intensity of the gesture has lost its strength almost entirely, a final "morendo" in which sounds so clearly and intensity were presented, are lost and come close to silence, while a few still refuse to die and try to excel, and this is the case the last expression is heard.
